Frank Bach

Product and growth design for the world's top brands and startups

I'm interested in the relationship between mindfulness and creativity: how meditation can empower you to be a stronger designer and more engaged contributor.

I was born and raised in Sudbury, Canada. As a teenager, I was involved in the local music scene, performing, organizing shows, creating zines, and designing artwork for local bands. That's where my passion for design first made an appearance.

In my early 20s I co-founded a digital agency which I ran for 7 years, working for clients like Science North, the Art Gallery of Sudbury, Downtown Sudbury BIA, and many Franco-Ontarian cultural organizations.

The entrepreneurial itch is always there, and I've kicked off many ventures like Sunshine and Manitoulin Brewing Company.

I have a Master's Degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design, a Bachelor's Degree from Laurentian University, and early in my career taught design at Cambrian College. I'll teach again someday — but for now I'm mostly interested in speaking engagements.

I relocated to Los Angeles in 2015 to work on Red Bull TV at Edenspiekermann. Today, I work at Headspace, the meditation app and run the Los Angeles Design and Development community on the side.

Regularly speak at conferences around the world about design, mindfulness, creativity, and innovation. I've had the pleasure to talk to audiences in Paris, Cologne, and soon Barcelona and London.

I take on side jobs sometimes. If you'd like to work together or hire me to speak at your event, please get in touch.
